FASTEL Self testing and monitoring systems

In order for users to fully comply with the requirements of the regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 which demands regular testing of luminaires and signs in accordance with BS5266 Pt 8: 2004, all FASTEL and LUMAsign emergency lighting luminaires incorporate P4 FASTEL self testing facilities.
P4 FASTEL represents the ultimate in self testing emergency lighting offering three basic systems, the stand alone, the remote monitoring and the computer addressable, now augmented with MWEB, an internet/intranet interface to allow a central Premises/Estates Department to check smaller satellite sites from a central control point.

The FASTEL Single Point system is the simpler of the three options and is ideally suited to:

* Existing premises requiring upgrading
* New premises with less than 50 emergency lights
* Premises which are unmanned for most of the working days.

With this system either stand alone emergency lights or converted luminaires equipped with the FASTEL self test units automatically perform a test routine which exceeds the requirements of BS5266 by a minimum of between 12 and 36 times that specified, without any action by staff.
In the event of a fault with the emergency lighting clear visual and audible signals are generated at the fitting allowing unskilled staff to evaluate the problem and to contact maintenance staff to rectify the indicated fault.

The FASTELwatch SM2000 Remote Monitoring system will monitor up to 50 inverters connected via a 200v AC Bus to one SM2000 unit. Fastelwatch can also interface with building and fire management systems.

The FASTELink Computer Addressable/MWEB system is most suitable for installations of above 50 units. This system has all the advantages of the single point FASTEL system but with the major advantage that ALL emergency lighting status is reported to a single point within the building.
The two key features of all systems are that they give absolute PEACE OF MIND coupled with OPERATIONAL COST SAVINGS which ultimately repay the total capital cost of the installation.

The emergency lighting products listed incorporate the stand alone FASTEL self testing equipment, automatically incorportated in P4 FASTEL luminaires / indicated by the "S' characters within the LUMAsign model numbering.
