Throughout the two days of the prestigious ARC 2010 show at London's Earls Court during the first week in February, visitors were making a beeline to P4's stand to inspect the company's new revolutionary Stairlight emergency escape lighting system. Unveiled for the very first time anywhere in the UK, the new product proved one of the successes of the exhibition, and Business Development Director, Alan Daniels, reported brisk business throughout the 2 days.
The P4 Stairlight system discretely incorporates high output low consumption white LEDs within the staircase handrail to provide unrivalled safety, security and conformity. This revolutionary package brings aesthetic appeal to difficult to fit areas such as open atriums, making unsightly luminaires fitted to walls and ceilings a thing of the past.
The result is a high level of illuminance and outstanding lighting uniformity which combine to eliminate unlit areas on stair treads and half landings often caused by conventional emergency lighting. This adds up to improved safety in the workplace, public buildings, hotels, leisure centres and prestigious homes.
"Add the further benefit of typically 50,000 hours of operating life, and the fact that Stairlight can be retrofitted or integrated into a new build, and no wonder it proved such an attraction",comments Alan Daniels.
Stairlight is fitted with P4's FASTEL fully automatic self-testing technology, which not only ensures remote highly cost effective compliance with regulatory requirements but also removes the need for manual testing. It can also be connected to P4's FASTELink computer addressable system for remote monitoring and control.
